During an unexpected reboot of my webserver, it did not recover. So my site and this blog went down for the better part of today. I managed to get most of it going, turns out one of the harddisks crashed. I thought this was no problem, until I found out that only my C: drive was mirrored and not the D:-drive. Ok, we have backups... or so you would think. Most backups were somehow corrupted, so D: has only partly been recovered. Most importantly, the date was not lost, since the database is located on a different server (phew). I'll call it a night soon.
